It does not mean a monthly report full of green arrows and a list of keywords nobody searches for. It means building a site that answers the questions your buyers actually ask, in a way search engines can read, and then giving it time and attention.
Practically, that is: a page map planned around real intent before any design happens; server-rendered HTML with proper structure and schema; fast pages; internal links that make sense; and a plan for what gets written after launch. Rankings for anything competitive take months. We say that on the first call rather than the sixth.
