The PCN Lottery: a marketing campaign designed and built by hand for YourParkingSpace
Turn your parking ticket into a win. A campaign concept, three full design variants, an animated entry experience and an illustrated guide to never getting a PCN again, designed by Lyndsay and built by Kai in 2024 for a parking marketplace with over two million registered UK drivers. No AI, because there was no AI. It is here to show what the craft looks like on its own.

The problem
Parking charge notices are the least loved envelope in Britain. YourParkingSpace, a marketplace that lets drivers book parking spaces and lets operators fill them, wanted a campaign that turned that resentment into something on their side: fair parking for all, with a bit of fun in it.
The brief was a lottery. Send us your PCN, and every day one entrant gets theirs paid in full. Everyone who enters gets a £5 parking voucher. It needed to feel like a game, not a claims form, and it needed to be built inside their stack so their team could run it.
What we did
Lyndsay took the creative: three complete visual directions, each with its own hero, form chrome and layout, built so the team could switch between them per route and test what landed. A slot-machine reel graphic for the draw, a phone mockup for the entry flow, and a hand-illustrated road infographic answering the question every entrant has next: how do I avoid one of these in future?
Kai built it as the first app in a new front-end monorepo for YPS, in Nuxt 3 with Tailwind: a two-step entry form with validation, a PCN photo upload, secure storage for submissions, analytics wired behind consent, and the theme-switching system that made three variants one codebase. The whole thing was designed and coded by hand in the spring of 2024, before AI was part of how we work. It is useful to have it here for exactly that reason.
What changed
The campaign was designed, built and handed over ready to deploy; whether and when it goes live is YourParkingSpace's call. The engagement grew from there into two years as their lead front-end engineer: the main marketplace site, a Strapi content platform, a micro-frontend monorepo and, finally, a migration of the whole site from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 4.
We show it alongside our AI-first work on purpose. The tools have changed how fast we go. They have not changed what we think good looks like.
We needed a complex, animated parking lottery experience with dozens of variations, and a full marketing campaign to go with it. Ikigai nailed the creative and the technical execution. The attention to detail on the animations alone was exceptional.

Building a headless CMS in Laravel, because the ones we used kept getting in the way
Mojimoto is the headless CMS we built for ourselves and then for other people. A delivery API, a write API, an MCP server and SDKs for five frameworks, shipped by one developer working AI-first.
A private clinic that wanted to run like a modern business, not a filing cabinet
From a logo to a full clinic platform in under a year: brand, marketing site, online booking, encrypted patient portal, an admin the clinic actually uses, and a lab-test shop. One developer, AI in the loop, a regulated sector where nothing can be slapdash.
Adding a senior developer to a pension provider's team, and shipping like three
Compound is a UK workplace pension provider with an in-house engineering team. We embedded a senior developer working AI-first, and over eleven months helped ship the employer portal, a staff admin app, a mobile app and a performance overhaul, inside their process and their tools.
